Funding for Implementation of the Framework for Diabetes tabled by the Minister of Health on October 5, 2022.
Increase Federal funding for Diabetes Research - work directed towards increasing funding to federal granting councils, in particular the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) through the Federal Budget.
Increase funds for diabetes in the Federal Budget specifically to increase funds directed to the Canadian Diabetes Strategy to reflect growth in diabetes prevalence and cost.
Work with the Government of Canada to bolster and create pan-Canadian standardized health data and digital tools to better track and have an up-to-date picture of diabetes and it's evolving impacts.
