The Canadian Food Innovation Network (CFIN) is a national, non-profit, member-based organization established to accelerate innovation across Canada’s food and beverage ecosystem. As an industry-led entity, CFIN’s primary business activities involve: Innovation Funding and Investment: Managing and distributing federal and private sector funding to support high-potential research and development projects, specifically those focused on smart product and process technologies. Ecosystem Integration: Facilitating a collaborative network that connects food and beverage manufacturers with technology providers, academic institutions, and research centres to foster knowledge transfer and commercialization. Sector Intelligence and Advocacy: Providing data-driven insights and strategic roadmaps to help Canadian agri-food businesses navigate global market trends, regulatory environments, and technological shifts. Business Growth Support: Offering specialized programming and digital platforms designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) scale their operations and enhance their international competitiveness. By stimulating the adoption of transformative technologies and sustainable practices, the corporation aims to increase the productivity and economic resilience of Canada's food and beverage sector.
