Description of the organization's activities

Code for Canada is a national non-profit that works with governments and nonprofits to create digital services that meet the needs of everyone in Canada. We act as an unbiased partner, helping to create inclusive, accessible and responsive public services that our partners can sustain over the long term. Our main service offerings include: - Collaborative Development: We place skilled digital professionals inside existing government and non-profit teams to collaboratively create digital products and services. We deliver results while building our partners’ digital capacity so they can maintain what we have created long after our work together ends. We give our partners the targeted support they need to successfully and independently deliver modern digital services. - Inclusive User Research (IUR): We connect our partners with the real end-users of their digital products and services. Our diverse pool of testers includes underrepresented groups from across Canada including people with disabilities. We take care of administrative tasks like participant recruitment, scheduling and compensation so our partners can focus on improving and delivering their digital service. - Options Analysis: We use proven methods to help our partners find the best option for modernizing or replacing digital products and services. We guide them through holistic risk assessments, environmental scans and prototyping to understand their needs and to help them choose the right solution. We enable our partners to carry out technology scoping with confidence and leave them with evidence to support budgetary and procurement requests.
