Description of activities:
Baffinland is the owner and developer of a high grade iron ore mine located on Baffin Island, in Nunavut, producing high quality products consumed by the steel industry. Our current operations consist of an open pit mine, crushing and screening facilities and road and port infrastructure to transport and load iron ore for shipment to customers, along with associated support facilities.

Baffinland has applied for permits to increase annual shipments to 12 million tonnes.
- Baffinland is owned 50 % by ArcelorMittal and 50 % by Iron Ore Holdings (IOH), with ArcelorMittal remaining as Project operator. This iron ore project involves the construction and development of an open pit mine and the shipping port with associated supporting infrastructure. The Mary River Project consists of nine high-grade lump and fine iron ore deposits that can be mined, crushed and screened and then shipped directly to markets.
- Baffinland Iron Mines is a Canadian publicly traded junior mining company that is focused on its 100%-owned Mary River iron ore deposits located about 160 kilometeres south of Pond Inlet, Baffin Island, Nunavut Territory, Canada
