Easter Seals Canada strives to create a more inclusive and accessible society for individuals in Canada who live with disabilities. Its purpose is to ensure that all individuals living with a disability have access to the equipment, programs, services and support they need to make the most of their abilities and live their lives to the fullest. This is accomplished through such activities as: Creating and implementing national awareness campaigns; Raising funding for programs and services that are offered by provincial Easter Seals member organizations at the local level; Participation with other disability-focused agencies and organizations in working groups, task forces, and coalitions that work to advance the cause of accessibility and inclusion in Canada; Engaging in dialogue with Public Office Holders regarding the issues and challenges faced by people living with disabilities in order to help inform and shape public policy that has an impact on accessibility and inclusion in Canada; Administering such programs as the Access 2 Card and Disability Travel Card programs for clients living with disabilities; Overseeing the use of the Easter Seals brand by provincial Easter Seals member organizations and maintaining registration of Easter Seals' trademarks within Canada.
